Bridex 2009: RBTS, World Aerospace ink deal

THE Royal Brunei Technical Services (RBTS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with World Aerospace Sdn Bhd of Malaysia yesterday morning for the beginning of what will soon be Brunei's second international defence exhibition, better known as Bridex.

The MoU was signed at the Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre, on the sidelines of the second day of the Langkawi International and Maritime Aerospace Exhibition Lima 2007 airshow, which was witnessed by Brunei's deputy Minister of Defence, Pehin Datu Singamanteri Col (Rtd) Dato Seri Paduka Hj Mohd Yasmin and the Malaysian deputy Prime Minister, Dato Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak.

Signing on behalf of RBTS were its acting chairman Dato Paduka Hj Mustappa Hj Sirat, who is also the permanent secretary at the Prime Minister's Office and deputy CEO Hjh Rosmawati Manaf. World Aerospace was represented by its chairman, Tan Sri Dato Kamaruzzaman Shariff.

Hosted by the Ministry of Defence, Brunei's second international defence exhibition is set for August 10 -14, 2009.
