THE Royal Brunei Technical Services (RBTS), organisers of the 2009 Brunei Darussalam International Defence Exhibition and Conference (Bridex) has begun promoting the event at one of the world's largest international defence trade shows, the Eurosatory in France.
The Bridex delegation at the Eurosatory will meet with delegations and exhibitors from many of the world's leading manufacturers and suppliers of defence and security systems to promote the benefits of exhibiting at next year's Bridex, RBTS said in a media release.
RBTS has set up a pavillion at the Eurosatory in Paris from June 16 to 20.
Bridex is the country's only defence and security event and will be held from August 11 - 15 next year at a new purpose-built exhibition centre.
The Grand Hall at the Empire Hotel and Country Club will be completed by August next year and will be the main exhibition area. RBTS expects Bridex to draw around 250 exhibitors.
So far, the confirmed participants are the UK Trade and Investment Defence and Security Organisation and BAE Systems, the world's third-largest aerospace and defence company, and the High Commission of Canada to Brunei.
