Muara, Thursday 11 July 2019 – The Officer Under Training Course (OUTC) Intake 17 of 2019, organized by the Royal Brunei Technical Services – Defense Conseil International (RBTS-DCI) and Naval Training Centre of Royal Brunei Navy (NTC) which began on Friday, 10 May 2019 came to a conclusion today with a Closing Ceremony held at the Nakhoda Hall, NTC, Muara Naval Base.
Present as the Guest of Honor was the Commanding Officer of KDB DARULEHSAN, Commander Haji Edy Jofren bin Pehin Datu Penglima Kol (B) Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Jalil. Also present was Lieutenant Commander Ali Mustafa bin Haji Umar, Commanding Officer Naval Training (CONT),RBTS Officers and NTC Instructors.
The ceremony marked the end of a 9-week course which was designed to develop the fundamentals and skills required of junior officers and prepare them for their future endeavors as a competent naval officer. The course also provided them with the basic knowledge of Seamanship, Navigation, Communication, Warfare and Fire Fighting & Damage Control (FFDC).
Speaking as the course representative, 1234 Lieutenant Junior Grade Mohammad Adi Fakhri bin Johari shared his views and the challenges throughout the course. He also highlighted that this course is the next progression to provide the junior officers with a glimpse of what to expect for their future endeavors.
The Guest of Honor presented the course participants with certificates and congratulated them for their hard work and dedication. The ceremony was blessed with a doa recital by 1264 Lieutenant Junior Grade Muhd Hamizan bin Hj Zaini.
