One of the core competencies of the Royal Brunei Technical Services (RBTS) is systems management. In August 2005 RBTS established a Vehicle Maintenance Centre (VMC) to provide maintenance, repair, overhaul (MRO) and upgrade of vehicles. The services are provided from excellent facilities by our highly skilled workforce, encompassing general service and repair, assembly of vehicles, technology insertions, remanufacture and diagnostics.

VMC has been awarded several contracts by the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF), Brunei Darussalam, as follows:

Upgrade of braking system for the Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) fleet of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) over a two-year period (contract was awarded in May 2007)

A three-year contract for the maintenance, repair and supply of spare parts for Leyland vehicles of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) (contract was awarded in September 2007)

VMC also carries out MRO and upgrade works for the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), the Fire & Rescue Department (FRD) and other government agencies.

For vehicle fleet management, VMC is responsible for all aspects of the planning and delivery of maintenance on the vehicle fleet. VMC works closely with the customers to provide systems and equipment availability ensuring operational requirements are met.
